Please have your horses caught and ready before I arrive, unless we have previous arrangements.
Please have a fly spray available during the summer months.

PAYMENT Payment is expected at the time of service in the form of cash or check. Checks returned by the bank are subject to a $30.00 fee, and cash will be required for all future appointments.A 24 hour notice is required for cancellations. It is your responsibility to be there and ready when I arrive. If I show up and no one is available or you forgot, you will be billed for the price of one trim, $40.

PLEASE TAKE NOTE!! This is a team commitment. Successful barefoot care requires trimming every 4-6 weeks depending on the horse, environment and use. Certain rehab cases may need to be seen every 2-3 weeks and will be determined on a case by case basis. Trim interval recommendations are not suggestions and must be followed. I only keep REGULAR clients.
Although the cost of gas has risen, I have decided to keep my rates as they are, and tighten up groups.  Staying on schedule and in your group will help me keep my rates where they are. Please see Cancellations below.
Horse Behavior I fully expect that your horse(s) have been handled often and will behave when working with their feet. I will make every effort to work patiently with your horse and get the job done.

Donkeys I often work with donkeys who aren't well handled and I may require the assistance of your vet for sedation. This is assessed on a case to case basis and through phone conversations leading up to the appointment, your honesty on behavior is key to the success of the trim.I don't turn these guys away as I know they need hoof care just as much as the others, it just may be more costly on your part as safety is my main priority for both me and the animal. Your presence at trims  is ALWAYS required in these cases and you will be responsible for holding your animal while i work on him.

Very Important If I cannot completely trim your horse because of a lack of training/handeling or behavior, payment for a full trim is still expected. It is your responsibility to prepare your horse(s) for the trimming experience.

Cancellations and missed appointments In real life, things come up and I will try to work with unforseen circumstances as best I can. It may mean putting your horse off beyond what is needed, or a very short trim cycle to get you back in your group. If we have to reschedule to a day/ time that  requires a special trip, there will be an additional travel fee between $10-$20 depending on where you are located. Missed appointments or missing an entire trim cycle will put you at risk of further delays or the possibility of another client filling the spot in my busy schedule. If your horse is well behaved, often I can do them without you being present, or I can bring someone if I know in advance. We can work out payment arrangements beforehand.
